Twice as Nice Kids Consignment Sale
3:42 PM - Monday, March 18, 2013
Dear Consignors and Shoppers,
It is with heartbreak that we announce to you that the Spring 2013 Twice As Nice Kids Consignment Sale must be cancelled. Please know that when we were faced with the news that our location had been vandalized, we sprung to action immediately, working to secure an alternate location in time. We've exhausted all of our efforts to find a place that would be large enough to host us and willing to do so on such short notice. Ultimately, we've run out of options and time. The Triangle Family Expo (website / Facebook) is still operating as scheduled but at an alternate location, Apex Baptist Church!
We're truly very sorry for all of the inconvenience that this has caused for each and every one of you. We appreciate all of the time that you've spent tagging and preparing your items for sale, and that you chose to do so with us. Sticking by our sides as we've battled the issues at hand and offering to help has lightened our spirits and renewed our faith in this community. Thank you.
We want you to be successful in consigning and shopping for your children, we know that many of you depend on getting deals to care for your families. We're in the same boat. This is why we're in contact with several of the upcoming local consignment sales, working for them to allow you to consign with them using the tags you have placed for our sale. We will be updating you as soon as the details are confirmed.
To hear more behind this situation, tune into WRAL-TV5 news at 5:30 pm tonight for a featured story.
We wish you all the best of luck and thank you again for your support.

Dear Sponsors, Consignors and Vendors,
We regret to tell you that we have an emergency situation. We went to Beaver Creek Commons to take occupancy of the space yesterday morning at 9am to find that vandals have broken into the building and completely destroyed and stolen the copper out of the electrical system. There is no electricity. We were told by the property manager to set up as planned, and they would make the proper repairs. We spent the entire day setting up the consignment sale. At 5:00pm we were approached by the property management company and told that we needed to cancel our event because they refuse to repair this and electricity will not be available.
We do not want to cancel. We have retained a lawyer, and are contacting the news station to put pressure for repairs or a temporary solution. The Town of Apex is on our side, and have drafted a temporary solution that brings in generators, and lighting for us to use. Currently, we're working towards a solution, but we ultimately need the property management company and owners to agree to it. We are also exhausting our resources and energy to find an alternate local location if this space is indeed unable to be safely occupied.
If we cannot get a space to host this event for the planned dates, we will be securing an alternate space for the event at a later date.
IF it comes to this, we will offer you the option to stay with us, or refund your fee if you choose not to participate.
We know you've invested a lot of time, energy, effort and money into participating in the Triangle Family Expo, and appreciate it immensely. Please bear with us and stand united with us as we work to resolve this unfortunate circumstance that we've been forced to face. This event has been embraced by the community, and we're asking that the community continue to support our efforts as we diligently work to make this happen as planned.
If anyone knows any resources that we might be able to use, or a space available, please let us know asap.
We appreciate each and every one of you, and all you do. We're working hard to fix this.
Thank you,
Michelle Zimmerman and Karen Dorman
