Sisters Michelle Zimmerman and Karen Dorman purchased the rights to Twice as Nice in 2008. Their goal is to help local families provide for their children in an economical way, yet without sacrificing quality or style.
Michelle and Karen grew up in Raleigh, and both graduated from Sanderson High School. Karen and her husband have been married for 18 years. The Dormans have seven children ranging in age from 4 to 15. Michelle and her husband have been married for 11 years. The Zimmermans have four children ranging in age from 5 to 9.
Since their first sale in the fall of 2008, the event has doubled in both the number of individuals who consign and the number of shoppers who attend. In the spring of 2010, the sale outgrew its original location and moved to it's current larger location. Twice as Nice originally targeted members of the Apex and Cary communities, but now the secret is out. Customers travel from all over Wake County to take advantage of the excellent savings.
Mission: Twice as Nice is passionate about providing an affordable marketplace for families to buy and sell quality children's clothing, toys, and equipment. It is our goal to build relationships with the families we serve and bring glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ.
